Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of the housing community under the supervision of the Community Manager. You will manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow and financial position, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with policies and fair housing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income from applicants, current residents, and non-current residents accurately.
• Processing and reconciling daily all accounts receivable.
• Monitoring and following up on bad debt, including late notices and evictions.
• Helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; bill back utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate records; auditing resident files.
• Walking units and posting move-out charges, statements, and security deposits refunds.
• Ensuring onsite staff compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
