Job summary

RRC Solutions Group seeks a seasoned CNC Field Service Engineer to install, troubleshoot, and service CNC machine tools at customer sites nationwide. You will perform leveling, geometry checks, and alignments, diagnose complex issues, and deliver exceptional customer support both on-site and remotely.

The role requires 5+ years in CNC maintenance, strong PLC and FANUC control knowledge, and willingness to travel 100% with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in CNC machine tool maintenance and service (electrical & mechanical).
• 5+ years providing remote technical support in the machine tool industry.
• Proven experience installing and servicing machining centers, including leveling and alignment.

Responsibilities

• Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options and accessories.
• Perform machine leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments for peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
• Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions including repair or replacement solutions.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
• Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance and problem resolution.
• Provide customer training and assist with project coordination as needed.
• Provide service support at trade shows and company events when required.
• Maintain detailed service documentation and reporting.
• Travel extensively (100%) including overnights and occasional weekend travel.
• Perform other duties as needed
