Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers by documenting patient encounters in real time and ensuring accurate coding for CPT and ICD-10. You will help prepare After Visit Summaries and collaborate with the care team on documentation improvements.

This full-time role emphasizes clinic-based work, strong typing speed, and the ability to learn new workflows while adhering to HIPAA and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications from a pre-medical degree or clinical exposure.
• Advanced listening and communication skills required.
• Ability to quickly learn new clinical workflows and tech tools.
• HIPAA compliance and patient privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in real time with structured notes.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes accurately during visits.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries and coordinate with the provider.
• Support care team with documentation and administrative tasks.
