Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling clinicians to focus on patient care. Scribes observe visits, document encounters in structured notes, and assist with CPT/ICD coding and after-visit summaries.

Ideal candidates are prepared to commit at least 1 year (2+ preferred), have medical terminology knowledge, and strong listening and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience preferred.
• Scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters in a structured note.
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes accurately.
• Prepare After Visit Summaries for providers.
• Support daily huddles and clinical documentation reviews.
