Job summary

Lids at The COOP stores serving Harvard and MIT communities in Boston is seeking a part-time Retail Supervisor. You will lead daily floor operations, ensure transaction accuracy, and support cash office routines while delivering strong customer service.

Open or close shifts, coach associates, monitor service levels, and help with inventory tasks. Prior supervisory experience and solid communication skills are preferred. Flexible availability including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail, operations, cash office, inventory, or customer service experience preferred.
• Previous keyholder, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong accuracy, judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort handling multiple tender types and retail systems.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the store and act as Manager-on-Duty when assigned.
• Direct work, support breaks and coverage, monitor service levels, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Coach associates on customer service, transactions, product knowledge, and store procedures.
• Support cash office, deposits, tender reconciliation, invoices, merchandise payable processes, shipping, receiving, and records as assigned.
• Help ensure accurate application of The COOP membership benefits and any Harvard-, MIT- or store-specific tenders, discounts, and transaction requirements.
• Support inventory counts, discrepancy research, loss prevention, safety, technology, and facilities routines.
• Maintain a visible floor presence and help customers across product categories and services.
• Support merchandising, replenishment, housekeeping, campus events, and peak-period execution.
