Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward within Building Engineering Services to establish how data is defined, shared, and reused across BES disciplines. This leadership role focuses on enabling data-driven decision making, data reuse, and project delivery excellence, rather than IT compliance.

You will coordinate with SMEs and a network across BES, align data workflows with BES strategy, and drive adoption of data standards, governance, and tools to empower HDR teams and accelerate analytics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Architecture Engineering industry.
• Experience leading diverse teams and informing senior leaders.
• Ability to work with other leaders, operations managers and marketing managers.
• Committed to HDR values and employee ownership culture.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate SME network across Building Engineering Services to define technical standards and align to BES data practices.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions supporting structured data models and AI use cases.
• Promote data process alignment and consensus across BES disciplines and domains.
• Lead data governance and lifecycle considerations for externally sourced datasets.
• Coordinate with Technology Director and Professional Services Director to align data workflows with BES BG strategy.
• Drive change management to adopt data standards, practices, and tools across BES BG.
• Communicate with Data Stewards and Enterprise teams to ensure data fluency.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy within BES BG.
