Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to define how data is defined, shared, and used across the Building Engineering Services Business Group. This leadership role coordinates subject matter experts and technical authorities to enable data reuse and better project delivery.

The role is embedded in the BES Business Group, not an IT position, and focuses on data standards, governance, and enabling enterprise analytics, automation, and AI initiatives within HDR.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in Architecture/Engineering industry.
• Experience leading diverse data-centric teams.
• Ability to collaborate with leaders, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Define and coordinate data standards across BES to enable consistent data definitions.
• Develop business‑aligned data definitions for key engineering terms.
• Promote data governance and responsible use of data across BES.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools across BES BG.
• Regularly communicate with Enterprise Data teams and other Data Stewards.
