Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward embedded in the Building Engineering Services Business Group to clarify data definitions, share consistency, and enable reuse across BES disciplines for HDR projects.

As a senior data leader, you will coordinate SME expertise, define data standards, and drive adoption of data practices to improve decision making, data reuse, and project delivery excellence across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as listed in the qualifications.
• 10+ years of experience in the Architecture Engineering industry.
• Experience leading data governance initiatives across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

• Define technical standards across BES data practices and enterprise expectations.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for engineering terms.
• Build alignment and consensus around data processes and priorities.
• Promote responsible use of technical data including access and quality.
• Govern externally sourced datasets, awareness of inventory, storage, and lifecycle.
• Promote data fluency across the BES Business Group.
• Coordinate with Technology/Professional Services Directors to align data workflows.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Communicate with Data Stewards, Enterprise Data Science, and Enterprise Data Operations teams.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy.
