Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to define and enable data practices across the Building Engineering Services Business Group. This role coordinates SME experts, aligns data definitions, and supports data-driven decisions for project delivery.

Ideal candidates are leaders with deep data fluency, who can translate complex concepts into actionable guidance and drive adoption of data standards across HDR's BES programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in the Architecture Engineering industry.
• Experience building and leading diverse teams and driving data-driven decision making.
• Ability to work with senior leaders and align data workflows with BES strategy.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate SME expertise to define technical data standards for BES.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms supporting models, reporting, and AI use cases.
• Drive alignment around data processes, priority, and usage across BES domains.
• Promote responsible data access, quality, and reuse within BES practice.
• Govern externally sourced datasets understanding lifecycle, storage, and approvals.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools across BES BG.
