Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to define how data is captured, defined, and reused across the Building Engineering Services Group. This is a leadership role that coordinates subject matter experts and technical authorities to enable better business decisions and project delivery.

As a data-focused leader, you will drive data terminology, governance, and reuse across BES disciplines, shaping data practices and alignment with enterprise strategy for HDR clients and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• Ten years of experience in the Architecture Engineering industry.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other leaders and managers.
• Commitment to quality and HDR values.
• Active participation in an employee‑owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Establish a network of SME expertise across BES to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain data definitions supporting models, reporting, and AI use cases.
• Promote data processes alignment and consensus among stakeholders.
• Govern access, quality, and reuse of BES data across projects.
• Coordinate with directors to align data workflows with BES BG strategy.
• Lead change management to drive adoption of data standards and tools.
• Communicate with Data Stewards, Enterprise Data Science, and Data Operations teams.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy.
