Job summary

HDR is seeking a BES Data Steward to lead data governance across the Building Engineering Services Business Group. You will define technical standards, coordinate SME experts, and enable data reuse to support better decision making and project delivery.

This role emphasizes enablement over IT, partnering with Technology and Professional Services Directors to align data workflows with BES strategy and enterprise goals. This is a leadership position within HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, data science, business, computer science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Architecture/Engineering industry.
• Experience leading diverse data-centric solutions and services.
• Ability to work with leaders and manage cross-functional teams.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture.
• Strong data fluency and ability to translate complex practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish and coordinate SME network to define technical standards.
• Develop and maintain business-aligned data definitions for key terms.
• Promote data governance and reuse across BES.
• Coordinate with the Technology Director to align data workflows.
• Lead change management for data standards adoption.
• Communicate with Data Stewards and Enterprise Data Teams.
• Ensure new tools align to data strategy.
