Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager in Utah to lead bakery operations, ensuring quality and freshness of baked goods while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will supervise daily baking output, manage inventory and budget, train and coach team members, and maintain safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment. Previous retail bakery leadership is preferred and scheduling flexibility is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Good communication skills; able to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other equipment; weigh and label products accurately.
• Stand for long hours; handle lifting and movement of product within safe limits.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain Food Handlers permit.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise product quality, monitor inventory, and manage bakery budget.
• Evaluate operations; implement improvements and procedures.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards.
• Oversee ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage.
• Display merchandising; rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Plan and order according to standards to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Lead and coach team members; conduct performance reviews and promotions.
• Attend in-store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager.
• Recruit and hire; manage transfers and promotions in collaboration with management.
