Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Manager to oversee the Bakery Department's overall performance. You will manage daily bakery output, production, and display while maintaining product quality and inventory control.

You’ll lead a team, coach staff, schedule labor, and collaborate with Store Manager on promotions, safety, and budget goals. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of retail grocery experience.
• Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with good teamwork.
• Strong communication and ability to take direction.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain clean, sanitized work area and proper safety practices.
• Operate knives, scales, and basic equipment.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Follow safety, health, and Weights & Measures regulations; food handler permit.
• Understand department margins, sales numbers, and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery output, production, and display.
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and budget.
• Evaluate operations and implement improvements.
• Manage safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Handle ordering, receiving, and storage.
• Lead merchandising and staff scheduling.

• Report to Store Manager and participate in meetings.
