Sprouts Farmers Market in South Jordan, UT is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the bakery team, maintain product quality, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will handle inventory, ordering, merchandising, and safety compliance while supporting the Bakery Manager to drive department performance and growth. This role offers a dynamic work setting with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with the ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction within a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and maintain a clean, sanitary work area.
• Be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Be able to stand for long periods and lift/move items as required by the job.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure quality.
• Deliver excellent customer service and supervise bakery product quality.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure safety and sanitation compliance across the department.
