Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly attitude with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and maintain sanitation.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related bakery equipment.
• Stand up to 3 hours, lift up to 40 lbs and move items across the department as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure products are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and equipment, including floors and shelves.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure accurate pricing; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy and quality.
