Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. in Florida is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package all baked goods and deliver friendly customer service in a fast-paced store.

You will assist in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising, maintain a clean work area, follow safety rules, and handle routine housekeeping and special orders. This role requires 18+, ability to stand long hours, and physical capability.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and equipment; weigh and label products accurately.
• Stand up to 3 hours at a time; lift up to 40 lbs; bend and reach as required.
• Adhere to safety, health and Weights and Measures regulations and maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods; assist Bakery Manager with pricing and merchandising.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure proper presentation of bakery items.
• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; manage rotation and discard spoiled items.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for shipment accuracy and quality.
• Answer phones and take special orders when needed.
