Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years Bakery experience or equivalent.
• Be dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and teamwork ability; take direction well.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers and related equipment.
• Stand for long periods and handle weighty items as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level customer service and ensure bakery items are well prepared and presented.
• Maintain clean, safe bakery area and equipment; restock and rotate products as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for quality and temperature.
• Maintain pricing accuracy and proper product display.
• Respond to customer needs and take special orders.
