Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to prepare, package, and merchandise baked goods in a fast-paced environment. You will assist the Bakery Manager, maintain clean work areas, and ensure accurate pricing and rotation of products while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires 1-2 years of bakery experience or related education, 18+ years old, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior, have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with our customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure baked items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, keeping the Bakery area clean.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment including cleaning shelves and products, keeping floors free of spills, and sweeping.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for accuracy of shipment, temperature, and quality.
