Job summary

C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer in Livermore, CA to support MHE control systems and optimize site performance. You will troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers, Allen-Bradley platforms, and associated networks within a modern, climate-controlled facility.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and collaboration with operations and maintenance teams to deliver impactful improvements and capital projects.

Qualifications

Experience programming HMIs, PLCs and VFDs in industrial settings.
Proficient with SCADA, KPIs, and interpreting electrical drawings.
Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC).
Escalate downtime issues to vendors or network support teams as needed.
Coordinate capital projects and plan new technology installations with stakeholders.
Communicate timelines and impact to operations and leadership.
