Job summary

C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer to support maintenance teams in ensuring efficient operation of material handling equipment. The role involves troubleshooting PLC/PC controllers, HMIs, and VFDs, with emphasis on Rockwell platforms within a modern, climate-controlled facility.

You will collaborate with operations leadership, vendors, and engineers on upgrades and new technology installations, while driving a safety-first culture and analyzing system performance to maximize uptime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant 3+ years experience.
• Experience programming/commissioning HMIs/PLCs/VFDs.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, KPIs, and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety and follow procedures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
• Support and modify software for PLC/PC controllers (Rockwell).
• Escalate downtime issues to vendors or network teams.
• Analyze system performance and reliability of MHE equipment.
• Coordinate with operations, vendors, and engineers on tech installations.
