Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, ensuring performance and efficiency of material handling control systems. You will work with conveyors, sortation systems, and associated PLC/PC controllers in a clean, climate-controlled facility.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting software, implementing solutions on Rockwell platforms, providing escalation support, guiding technicians, and coordinating new technology installations with Operations,
Qualifications
- 3+ years in automation electronics or equivalent
- Experience with HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs
- Experience with conveyors and sortation systems
- Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following procedures
- Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control systems and electrical distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC) using Rockwell software
- Escalate downtime issues to vendors or network teams to restore operation
- Collaborate with Operations leadership and vendors for new technology installations
- Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership and maintenance teams
