Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support site maintenance and improve performance of material handling equipment control systems. You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, labeling systems, scales, and HMIs, implementing solutions for complex problems and leading project-related activities.
The role requires hands-on experience with PLC/PC controllers, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, and industrial networks.
Qualifications
- 3+ years programming HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
- SCADA systems experience and KPIs.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience supporting conveyors and sortation systems.
- Familiarity with relays, motor starters, VFDs, and HMIs.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
- Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Rockwell).
- Serve as escalation contact for equipment automation issues and coordinate with vendors.
- Conduct control systems assessments to maximize equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with Operations and vendors to plan new technology installations.
- Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership and maintenance teams.
