Job summary
C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, ensuring operational performance of material handling equipment and control systems in a modern facility. You will troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and Rockwell software while collaborating with maintenance and operations to implement solutions.
Qualifications include 3+ years in automation or an applicable degree, knowledge of conveyors and electrical distribution, and strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of automation/controls experience or 2-year degree plus 1 year experience.
- Proficiency in PLC/PC controllers and Rockwell software.
- Experience with conveyors, sortation systems, and industrial networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control systems and electrical distribution.
- Troubleshoot and modify software for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Rockwell).
- Act as first escalation point for automation issues and coordinate with vendors.
- Apply expertise to maximize building utilization of control systems.
- Monitor MHE metrics and work with technicians to resolve electrical problems.
- Coordinate technology installations and capital projects with operations and vendors.
- Communicate timelines and impacts to leadership and operations.
