Job summary
C&W Services is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team, focusing on material handling control systems and PLC/PC controllers, including Rockwell platforms. You will troubleshoot, modify software, and lead/assist technicians on complex automation tasks.
The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with operations, and coordination of capital projects within a modern, climate-controlled facility.
Qualifications
- Programming/commissioning of HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
- SCADA systems and KPIs.
- Interpreting and modifying mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Experience with conveyors and sortation systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Promoting a safe working environment by following safety procedures.
- Providing guidance on maintaining material handling control systems, including electrical distribution and servo/frequency drives.
- Troubleshooting and modifying software projects for material handling control systems (PLC/PC controllers).
- Escalating downtime issues to vendors or network support teams to restore operation.
- Coordinating with operations, leadership, and vendors for new technology installations and capital projects.
- Communicating timelines and impacts to operations and maintenance teams.
