Job summary

Okta is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to help customers securely connect people to technology and support the sales process with technical demonstrations. You will work with Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to provide expertise from discovery to proof-of-concept and build a strong IAM foundation.

You’ll translate complex identity topics into business-friendly messaging, create demos with JavaScript/Python, and assist with RFPs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in a technical, customer-facing, or pre-sales role.
• Hands‑on development experience with JavaScript and/or Python.
• Experience working directly with customers (e.g., technical support, implementation, consulting, or sales engineering).
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to support technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
• Demonstrate identity solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management.
• Build and customize demo applications and integrations using JavaScript and Python.
• Help customers evaluate and implement identity solutions, including integrations with APIs and third-party services.
• Translate complex identity and security concepts into clear, business-focused messaging.
• Support RFPs/RFIs and respond to technical questions during the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and improve offerings.
