Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to assist the maintenance supervisor and uphold the physical integrity of the property. You will work with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, prioritizing safety and policy compliance.

With at least two years in apartment maintenance, you will handle routine tasks, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or trade experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
• EPA refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification.
• Strong verbal and written English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist maintenance supervisor and prepare for inspections.
• Maintain safety compliance per policies and applicable laws.
• Perform routine maintenance on building systems and appliances.
• Assist with on-call duties and standby emergency coverage.
• Support flyers distribution and property readiness activities.
