Job summary

Valiant Residential, LLC is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold safety across the property. You will help the leasing team maximize renewals and leasing opportunities while ensuring tasks are completed per policy.

The role requires at least two years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license. Basic tools and the ability to travel are expected, with some weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA certification for refrigerants required.
• Strong spoken and written English; Spanish bilingualism a plus.
• Own a basic set of hand tools and a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within metro areas and work some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests within 24 hours whenever possible.
• Assist in scheduling and managing the on-call staff rotation.
• Maintain safety and company policy compliance across all duties.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and building systems.
• Support inspections and assist with property readiness.
