Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance who is responsible for assisting the maintenance supervisor and maintaining the physical integrity of the property.

You will work with the leasing team to maximize renewal and leasing opportunities, and ensure that all duties are carried out with safety first and in accordance with Valiant Residential policies.

This role requires practical trade skills, punctuality, and a commitment to resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of full-time apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification is required; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in scheduling on-call rotations and provide service as needed.
• Uphold safety and company policy compliance in all activities.
• Maintain records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status.
• Assist with inspections and coordinate with the property manager.
