Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold the property's safety and physical integrity. The role collaborates with the leasing team to maximize renewals and leasing opportunities, while ensuring all tasks align with company policies and applicable laws.

Ideal candidates will have at least two years of apartment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, basic hand tools,

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow policies and procedures.
• EPA certification for refrigerant handling is required/preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete residents' service requests within 24 hours.
• Assist in implementing the system for handling service requests and on-call rotation.
• Ensure compliance with ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA, and other laws.
• Distribute flyers and materials as needed.
• Maintain safety materials and inspect property for unsafe conditions.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance and make-ready status of vacancies.
• Schedule and perform minor maintenance and inspect tools.
• Handle on-call duties and standby emergency coverage.
• Assist in property inspections and other duties as assigned.
