Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager in the United States (New York area). You will lead the Closing Manager on duty shifts, oversee key departments, and ensure daily club operations meet policy and service standards.

Responsibilities include team leadership, training and certifications, and collaboration with partners to maintain food safety, inventory control, and a gold-standard member experience. Strong ServSafe and perishable operations knowledge is required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required. High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing shifts.
• Lead and develop team members, ensure gold standards and safety protocols.
• Coach onboarding and certifications, and support audit readiness.
• Operate safely and maintain attendance and performance standards.
• Collaborate with club leadership to improve closing routines and member experience.
