Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to lead key departments during closing hours and ensure smooth, safe operations. You will oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable areas while driving a high level of service and compliance with food-safety standards.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, maintaining GOLD standards, and coordinating with leadership to improve closing routines. Requires SERV Safe certification and ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
SERV Safe certification required.
High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
Open shift availability required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments during closing.
Lead Recovery team productivity and coaching.
Ensure GOLD standards and premium member experience.
Maintain sanitation, safety checks, and required certifications.
Collaborate with the Closing Manager, Club Managers, and leads to improve closing routines.
