Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Closing Manager to provide leadership within the club and drive nightly performance. You will oversee Recovery, Utility, and Perishable departments, ensure safety, and maintain GOLD standards while delivering a premium member experience.

The role requires ServSafe certification, a high school diploma, and flexible shifts with potential alternate certification trainings.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or warehouse perishable operations preferred.
• Experience in managing inventory turnover and waste reduction strategies.
• SERV Safe certification required.
• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email) required.
• Open shift availability required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Oversee closing and ensure all areas are clean, stocked, and ready for morning open.
• Lead by presence and coach Recovery team.
• Maintain GOLD Standards and ensure customer experience.
• Coach onboarding and certifications.
• Operate safely and ensure attendance.
