Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a detail-oriented administrator to oversee financial and personnel operations for an ambulatory practice or department. You will coordinate patient scheduling, registration, and patient overflow, while leading administrative staff and managing office supplies and service recovery.

The role requires strong communication, excellent customer service, and proficiency with electronic medical records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health care admin or related field preferred.
  • 3-4 years in a health care setting including ambulatory care with scheduling and electronic records.
  • CPR badge and clinical workflow familiarity within ambulatory/urgent care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and coordinates all administrative matters relating to financial and personnel operations for a designated ambulatory practice or department.
  • Coordinates patient scheduling registration and managing patient overflow.
  • Oversees daily functions of administrative staff, management of office supplies, customer service and service recovery, and daily operations workflow.
  • May supervise call center staff where applicable.
