Job summary

Motorola Solutions, including Silvus Technologies, is seeking a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force programs. You will bridge RF capabilities with Air Force requirements, demonstrating interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

The role reports to the Director of Applications Engineering and requires up to 50% travel with a 100% remote option depending on location. A security clearance and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience as stated in the ad.
• Experience with SDRs, IP-based routing, or tactical communication systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, signal generators).
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizen due to government contracts.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF operational priorities and map requirements to tactical radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configurations, and lead field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and benchmarking to validate architectures.
• Coordinate with BD to meet strategic priorities and technical needs.
• Develop and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networking.
• Contribute technical input for RFI/RFP responses.
• Conduct market research for partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with DoD program offices, AFRL, AFLCMC and TOC-L leads.
• Translate field feedback into product roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests, meetings, and demonstrations.
