Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force engagements to bridge RF capabilities with DoD requirements. You will work with Engineering and BD to validate interoperability of StreamCaster radios across airborne and field environments.

You’ll travel up to 50% for field tests and customer meetings; a 100% remote option may be available depending on location, with a strong emphasis on technical demonstrations and program support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; 2–5 years in systems engineering/defense tech.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
• Experience with SDRs, IP routing, or tactical communications systems.
• Background check and drug test required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Analyze USAF priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan networks, configure tests, and run field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate with BD to align work with strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne and edge networks.
• Input technical details for RFI/RFP responses.
• Travel up to 50% for field tests and customer engagements.
