The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 5-10 years of experience in gas delivery systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential, along with familiarity in SolidWorks. This role requires on-site work at Changi North Crescent.
Lead and support gas box build activities — including assembly, system integration, and final testing.
Interpret and review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and BOMs from customers.
Ensure design conformity with SEMI, ASME B31.3, CE, and local safety regulations.
Validate component selections (valves, regulators, fittings, MFCs, sensors, etc.) for compatibility and performance.
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and manage deviation requests when required.
Develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and SOPs to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
Collaborate with production to troubleshoot assembly, leak test, or performance issues.
Drive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and process optimization initiatives to reduce cost and lead time.
Participate in fixture and tool design to support semi-automated or fully automated gas box testing.
Serve as the technical focal point for customer build projects and engineering discussions.
Coordinate with planning, procurement, and quality teams to ensure material readiness and schedule adherence.
Support NPI (New Product Introduction) builds and transition to volume manufacturing.
Prepare technical reports, test summaries, and build documentation for customer submission.
Support and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action activities.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and safety management system requirements.
Support internal and customer audits with strong focus on documentation and traceability.
Promote and enforce cleanroom and EHS compliance during all production activities.
Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on assembly, test, and troubleshooting of gas systems.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork within the production area.
Provide input to management on equipment investments, process upgrades, and resource planning.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 5–10 years of experience in gas delivery systems, high-purity gas equipment, or semiconductor sub-assembly.
Strong understanding of pneumatic systems, pressure control, vacuum systems, and leak testing methodologies.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and basic familiarity with PLC-controlled systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of SEMI S2, S6, S10, ASME B31.3, and hazardous gas handling standards.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-driven manufacturing environment.
Willing to work on-site at Changi North Crescent.
