Job summary
A leading HR advisory firm is looking for a Retail Supervisor to oversee daily operations at an aquarium retail shop in Havelock, Singapore. The ideal candidate should have experience in retail supervision, basic knowledge of aquarium care, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Responsibilities include managing staff, handling cash operations, maintaining shop presentation and cleanliness, and assisting customers with their aquarium needs. The role requires working retail hours and occasional travel to other outlets.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail supervision or a senior retail role preferred.
- Basic knowledge of aquarium care, livestock handling, or aquascaping.
- Willing to work retail hours, weekends, and public holidays if required.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the aquarium retail shop.
- Supervise and guide retail staff.
- Handle cash management and daily sales reporting.
- Maintain shop presentation and cleanliness.
- Monitor livestock wellbeing and water quality.
- Manage inventory and coordinate replenishment.
- Assist customers with aquarium setup and product recommendations.
Skills
Salary: $3000 - $4500
Working Days: 6 Days (5 days off per month)
Working Hours: 10am – 8pm
Working Location: Havelock
Job Scope
- Oversee daily operations of the aquarium retail shop to ensure smooth workflow and excellent customer service.
- Supervise and guide retail staff, ensuring product knowledge, service standards, and performance are maintained.
- Handle opening and closing duties, cash management, POS operations, and daily sales reporting.
- Maintain proper shop presentation, cleanliness, and upkeep of livestock tanks, aquatic plants, and aquarium displays.
- Monitor livestock wellbeing, water quality, and stock conditions, coordinating care schedules where required.
- Manage inventory, conduct stock checks, and coordinate replenishment of livestock, plants, and products.
- Assist customers with aquarium setup advice, product recommendations, and troubleshooting.
- Handle customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally.
- Ensure adherence to company SOPs, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Support sales promotions and overall store performance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
