1. Support Planning, Implementation and Review of programmes to engage vulnerable, high-risk students and students with additional needs (e.g. learning needs, absenteeism, unfavourable family risk factors):

  • Co‑design, co‑implement, monitor and review the Gearup programme with varied activities to cater to the interests and needs of the students, including outdoor and indoor activities to 1) enhance school connectedness 2) help students develop essential social and emotional skills and confidence to succeed academically and socially, life skills that helps students navigate daily challenges and build resilience and motivation and 3) empower students to contribute to positive changes in the school or community.
  • Co‑design, co‑implement, monitor and review the detention programme to address truancy, frequent lateness and other behavioural/discipline issues by engaging students serving detention in meaningful activities and conversations to inculcate values, motivate, address and modify undesirable behaviours.

2. Mentoring and Befriending:

  • Establish positive and supportive relationships with vulnerable, high‑risk students and students with additional needs, offering guidance and mentorship to address their specific challenges and concerns, change behaviours, to inspire and be a role model to students to connect them to learning, peers, adults and school.
  • Conduct one‑on‑one or small group mentoring sessions to provide social emotional support and build social emotional competencies.

3. Partnerships with Stakeholders:

  • Work closely with the Student Development Team in a coordinated approach to monitor and support the well‑being of high‑need students.
