A reputable safety service provider in Singapore is seeking an HSSE Officer for night-shift operations on Jurong Island. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, monitoring compliance during high-risk activities, and leading emergency response efforts. Candidates must have 2–3 years of relevant experience and hold certifications such as WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH. This contract position requires availability for night shifts and is crucial for maintaining safety standards onsite.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of HSSE experience in construction, power plant, or industrial settings.
• Qualified with WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH Level B or equivalent.
• Must complete Confined Space Supervisor and other relevant courses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct night-shift site inspections and hazard spotting.
• Monitor high-risk activities on site and enforce compliance.
• Prepare night-shift HSSE report and handover notes.

Skills

Job description

Contract duration: 6 months, requires short notice start.
Support hours: 8pm–8am, 6 days a week.
Work location: Jurong Island.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct night‑shift site inspections and hazard spotting
• Conduct Critical Control Verification Inspections
• Monitor high‑risk activities (PTW, LOTO, hot work, lifting, confined space, work‑at‑height, excavation, Piling and other activities on site)
• Enforce contractor compliance to HSSE rules
• Report and follow up unsafe acts/conditions
• Conduct toolbox talks, night briefings, and safety stand‑downs
• Perform alcohol breathalyzer tests, PPE checks, and entry control
• Lead emergency response during night shift
• Prepare night‑shift HSSE report and handover notes
• Support incident investigations and evidence collection
• Maintain housekeeping, access control, and barricading
• Verify machinery certificates, operator cards, and manpower list

Mandatory Requirements

• 2–3 years HSSE experience (construction, power plant, or industrial)
• WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B or equivalent)
• Confines Space Supervisor Course
• BIZ Safe Level 2
• Lifting Supervisor Course
