Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is looking for a dedicated Workplace Safety Manager to oversee the Health and Safety Management Systems on-site. The successful candidate will manage safety protocols, conduct training, and ensure compliance with regulations. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in the Building and Construction industry and possess relevant licenses. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must possess WSHO license and familiarity with safety audits.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the local Building and Construction industry.
• Completion of a full cycle of HDB BTO project is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive working attitude.

Job description

Workplace Safety Management

• Spearhead the establishment and maintenance of Safety & Health Management Systems (SHMS) on-site
• Implement and uphold project and corporate SHMS protocols
• Identify, assess, and mitigate workplace and process‑related risks
• Propose and enforce safe work procedures
• Enhance workplace safety performance through strategic measures
• Ensure adherence to Company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and standards
• Ensure compliance with Statutory Requirements under MOM and NEA
• Contribute actively to the corporate EHS Committee
• Conduct in‑house safety training sessions
• Develop and execute EHS plans, trainings, meetings, and promotional activities
• Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify and address hazards and risks promptly
• Enforce EHS / OSH regulations at the workplace
• Serve as secretary for the WSH Committee and preside in the absence of the chairman
• Investigate, manage, report, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders on accidents or EHS non‑compliance incidents
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by superiors

Project Budget Control

• Implement effective safety provisions to minimize re‑work
• Aim for ZERO accident rates
• Prepare safety cost budgets for approval

Technical Understanding

• Proficient in the Workplace Safety & Health Act and other regulatory requirements
• Ability to provide practical safety solutions

Other Responsibilities (Organization)

People Development

• Disseminate safety knowledge to all safety personnel
• Foster a strong safety culture across all levels

Internal Operations

• Report any site non‑conformance to the immediate supervisor
• Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure robust Health and Safety protocols on‑site
• Uphold and adhere to standard policies and procedures
