Job description

Scope of Work

• Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
• MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminum and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions
• Produce templates and other work aids
• Set up welding cells for serial production runs
• Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all company rules and policies

Requirements

• Proven experience as welder (minimum 3G)
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (MIG, TIG etc.)
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
