Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated candidate for GFM New Product Approval (NPA) team. The job offers an exciting opportunity to work with trading, structuring, sales, and arranging to enable new product end to end and to govern risk assessment collaboratively with supporting units including Market & Liquidity Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Operation, Technology, Legal and Compliance. The candidate will also work on process re‑engineering initiatives to improve product time‑to‑market using agentic AI solution.

Responsibilities

• As a NPA champion, lead New Product Approval process end to end
  
  
  
  • Product ideation with sales and product structuring team
  
  
  • Pre‑assessment of process type, impact analysis, complexity, cost and timeline estimation
  
  
  • Engagement and closely follow up with supporting units for assessment, feedback and solution iterations
  
  
  • Drive model validation pre‑validation and post‑validation processes, work closely with FO Quant and Model validation team to ensure pricing model coverage
  
  
  • Drive system enhancement, UAT and implementation to ensure fast time to market and product launch
  
  
  • Stakeholder management for expectation alignment, timeline management, prioritization, risk escalation and mitigation plan implementations
  
  
  • Collaborate with supporting units to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are well addressed
  
  
  • Applying first principal thinking in collaborating with FO & SUs to foresee issues and gaps, tighten and refine process control to ensure end‑to‑end risk governance
  
  
  • Support FO in product launch preparation in NPA approval, regulatory approval and other to‑the‑market implementation
  
  
  • Lead post implementation review process with FO and supporting units for process finetuning and issue resolution
  
  
  
  


• Manage the end‑to‑end risk due diligence of new products/services in his/her line of business to ensure it is aligned with the Bank’s requirements


• Main liaison with product teams and sign‑off groups to ensure seamless review, timely sign‑off/ approval of NPA proposals; provide timely updates and ensure proper escalation


• Act as a gatekeeper to ensure quality of NPA documentation


• Involve in ad hoc projects as a NPA stream representative and provide UAT support


• Manage/support NPA related control processes such as first trade monitoring, NPA dashboard reporting, product scope and condition monitoring & etc.


• Collaborate with GFM COD Strategic Project Team and GFM COD Business Management Office to support FO by providing product insights and process guidance.


• Partner with GFM COD Operational Risk, auditors for process review & finetuning.

Requirements

• Strong product knowledge of all asset classes including Bonds, Equities, FX/MM, Interest Rates, Commodity and their derivatives is a must


• Strong verbal, written and presentation skills and confident in working with front office and senior stakeholders is essential


• Personality and positive attribute that reflects enthusiasm, willing to work and collaborate with others, and energetic


• Good team player with growth mindset, able to see big picture and deep dive into topics in both broadness and depths, and go extra mile


• Sound organisational skills and ability to be disciplined with planning and delivering deadlines


• Degree in Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance or similar academic discipline is preferred


• Murex expertise and implementation project experience is an adding merit


• Independent self‑starter with ability to multi‑task and cope with frequent context switching
