Business Function

Group Operations (Ops) Data Chapter is committed to building and maximizing key data and analytical capabilities to transform Group Ops. Data empowers our everyday operations and through a strategic focus across operations automation, service management, quality & control checks, and customer / employee experience, we aim to enable an AI‑Fuelled Group Operations.

About the role

Make your mark by helping us enable Ops to create experiences that matter to our employees and customers, through embedding data and analytics pervasively through Operations. In your role as a Data Translator, you will lead and partner Ops strategically in this journey. Your focus will be on ensuring we break new grounds sustainably and create economic impact within Ops. This will require key partnerships across business, technology, transformation and data chapter teams.

Responsibilities

Strategic delivery & Thought Leadership:

• SME in driving scalable data and advanced analytical solutions with economic impact
• Translate business problem/opportunities into tangible analytics requirements including AIML initiatives (and GenAI opportunities)
• Understand business drivers and lead the development of control towers utilizing Data Driven Operation Model (DDOM).
• Evaluate new techniques and technologies in industry to address business challenges and to leverage for internal improvements
• Manage a portfolio of initiatives across Operate and Build effectively taking into consideration the lens of priority, impact, and risk.
• Oversee the measurement, development, and execution of initiatives and workstreams
• Champion a culture of experimentation and test‑learn‑scale approach to drive continuous improvement towards target outcomes

Strong Collaborator & Operational Excellence:

• Strong experience in stakeholder management and ability in storytelling even for complex areas
• Foster strong collaboration between Business, Technology, and Data SME teams to ensure cohesive integration of data and advanced analytics.
• Understand Voice of the Customer (VOC), manage business challenges, and challenge status‑quo to shape our strategy across deliverables.
• Lead the overall reporting and updates to executive forums and stakeholders

Requirements

• Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration or equivalent quantitative fields.
• Min 10 years of practical experience in analytics, spanning from descriptive to prescriptive methods, ideally within the financial and banking sectors.
• Strong analytical skills, high attention to details and problem‑solving abilities to interpret complex datasets and draw meaningful insights.
• High proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and inference.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering data‑driven and data science initiatives that resulted in significant business outcomes.
• Strong ability to clearly communicate and story tell to non‑technical audiences including senior management
• Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude. Comfortable in navigating ambiguity in a complex environment and managing multiple stakeholders
• Collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and departments.
• Passionate with technology and analytics, industry trends and developments.

Not mandatory, but will be an added advantage

• Knowledge or work experience in financial services domain.
• Experience in delivering GenAI solutions through AI lifecycle
