A leading electronics firm in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to drive automation and machine improvement projects. Candidates should have a degree in Software Engineering and at least 3 years of software development experience. Key responsibilities include improving production processes and collaborating with various engineering teams. This role demands innovative thinking in software design and development, especially concerning vision systems and robotics.
New products – responsible for working with Automation, Product Design Engineer, QA and components Engineer, ensuring the release for manufacturing. Full Qualification must be done.
Embarks on productivity, quality, cost reduction program, machine and process improvement, as and when needed.
Support duplicates existing machines/fixtures if there is requirement for capacity expansion.
Keep track of all project deadline and budgetary expenditure.
Responsible for equipment transfer from other entities, or transfer to other entities in term of machine set up and smooth running of production with full qualification which relate to his task.
Coordinate with machine vendors for new machines in which involve robotics, control, software and vision programming
Understand the requirements & needs, innovate & map out complete software architecture, progressive development in stages ensure success. Considerations include wireless network, data acquisition, remote access & control, inventory tracking, and big data analysis.
Share relevant knowledge and new ideas to solve manufacturing problems or needs. Gather & share of best practices, lessons learned (success & failure), prevent re-inventing, and challenge existing.
Provide technical consultancy and support to Assembly Department on vision inspection, machine control, manufacturing process & technology. Participate in brainstorming to solve problems.
Degree in Software, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering or Diploma in Software, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering
3 years working in software development, NI-LabView programming, vision system and control
Process improvement
5 years working experience in vision camera, lens and lighting system.
Ability to design & develop software for assembly.
In-depth knowledge & experiences in some area, such as software programming, optic, lighting, robotic, automation.
Innovative in software algorithm and user interface.
Robotics, control, software or vision programming
Six-sigma (is an advantage but not necessary)
