Job description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team, the fintech arm of BNY. This role will focus on the software solutions of Eagle Accounting, Performance, and Data Management as well Data Vault, our public cloud solution. This role is in Singapore.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • The Sales Engineer is responsible for conducting informative product demonstrations and presentations for potential customers at any location within the APAC region. Showcasing the features, functions, and value propositions of the Eagle Accounting, Performance and Data Management products as well as the Data Vault product, our public cloud data management solution.
  • In addition to demonstrations, s/he is responsible for completing incoming Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Lead the development and execution of proof of concept (PoC) projects to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our software solutions in addressing customer challenges. This includes activities such as loading sample data, identifying business requirements/challenges and playing back solutions to prospective clients.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  1. 10+ years experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or similar role within the software/financial services industry.
  2. Experience with Financial Software solutions is preferred.
  3. Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
  4. Strong SQL skills, Python is a plus.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team is mandatory.
  6. BS/BA degree.
  7. Extensive travel normally required.
  8. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Prior public speaking or presentation experience is preferred.
