Job summary

A maritime industry leader in Singapore is seeking an experienced Vessel Manager to oversee commercial operations. You will coordinate cargo information, devise voyage plans, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience in commercial vessel operations, strong knowledge of charter parties, and excellent communication skills, including proficiency in Chinese.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years’ experience in commercial vessel operations or chartering (tankers preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of charter parties, laytime, voyage planning, and port/terminal regulations.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with masters, agents, brokers, and owners.
  • Must be Chinese speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and control cargo/voyage information between stakeholders.
  • Devise and implement economical voyage plans.
  • Review and provide voyage orders, port information, and restrictions to Masters.
  • Manage the ship’s commercial trading while ensuring compliance.
  • Support the chartering team with input/data for potential fixtures.
  • Authorize cargo capability and capacity of vessels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of operations.
  • Provide operational support for cargo/voyage-related issues.

Heidmar is seeking a Vessel Manager (Commercial Operations) to join our Singapore office. This role is integral to managing the commercial trading of our vessels and ensuring smooth coordination across stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and control cargo/voyage information between brokers, masters, agents, and ship owners/managers.
  • Devise and implement economical voyage plans aligned with charter party, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and provide voyage orders, port information, and restrictions to Masters.
  • Manage the ship’s commercial trading while ensuring compliance with charter party obligations.
  • Support the chartering team with input/data for potential fixtures (e.g., intakes, ETAs, questionnaires).
  • Authorize cargo capability and capacity of vessels.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing of voyage operations.
  • Provide operational support and develop solutions for cargo/voyage-related issues.
What We’re Looking For:

✅ Atleast 7 years’ experience in commercial vessel operations or chartering (tankers preferred).

✅ Strong knowledge of charter parties, laytime, voyage planning, and port/terminal regulations.

✅ Excellent coordination and communication skills with masters, agents, brokers, and owners.

✅ Must be Chinese speaking
