Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Support commercial newbuilding and ship repair teams during tender exercises for newbuilding and conversion projects.
• Provide engineering support and collaborate with the marketing team to retain existing clients and secure new ones within the shipbuilding division.
• Review contracts, technical documentation, and equipment specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Develop basic design concepts in line with newbuilding tenders.
• Prepare drawing schedules and coordinate technical meetings with clients, classification societies, designers, vendors, and system integrators.
• Implement newbuilding design and execute engineering production plans for awarded projects.
• Interpret classification rules and maritime regulations, with the ability to read and understand design drawings.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the marine or offshore industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of shipbuilding processes and project workflows, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and engage in discussions with clients.
• Willingness to travel to Indonesia, Taiwan, and other countries for technical meetings.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
