A logistics company in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to lead their export operations team. The role involves managing end-to-end operations, vendor management, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations. Candidates should have 7-10 years of logistics experience, including supervisory roles, and a strong grasp of export documentation and warehouse operations. The position offers a competitive salary and requires a proactive approach to continuous improvement in service performance.
Strong supply chain and logistics background, including hands-on export operations
Manage end- to- end operations , export, import and warehousing
Proven experience in cost reduction and team streamlining Able to handle high-volume output - comfortable shipping 200–300 containers per month SFA and Halal certification experienced
Lead and manage the export shipping team by planning and implementing strategies and initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in both service and transit time performance
Working closely with Executive Chairman & Joint CEO to serve new/existing customers
Work together with the Import Shipping Manager to set the shipping department’s KPIs
Lead and manage ISO9001 records
Train and improve quality of work produced by the export shipping team
Well versed in import and export operational and customs processes and to monitor and ensure all customs permit declaration are complying with Singapore (and other countries such as Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Middle East, Bangladesh and etc) Customs Regulations and Procedures
Vendor management with contractors/transporter and all business-related vendors
Negotiate best freight rates offered for the routes of shipments by forwarders, booking of vessels
Manage and prepare the full sets of shipping document (invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, customers’ required certificates, insurance policy, beneficiary’s certificate, bank draft, bank schedule and other required document) and ensure they are legalized
Manage and prepare the full sets of shipping document base on Letter of Credit
Working closely with new/existing customers to develop and provide feasible logistics solutions
Handle enquiries, complaints, and dispute from customers and/or shipping lines and shipment-related internal communication
Handle daily operations and transactions in the forwarding area
Liaising with quality team and/or relevant statutory authorities for inspections
Preparation and managing of sales contracts, forecasts, and reports, analyzing of all reports
Plan and monitor shipment activities
Sales Contract and work order issuance
Extension of free time negotiation with shipping lines
Verifying bills on warehousing loading charges, and production packing costs
Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in export/logistics, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong working knowledge of export documentation, warehouse operations, and freight processes.
Experience coordinating with external vendors such as 3PLs or warehouses.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
