Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in Singapore is looking for a financial professional to oversee project financials, ensuring cost accuracy and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry. Additional responsibilities include budgeting and assisting with audits.

Job description

Oversee the financial aspects of ongoing projects, ensuring cost accuracy, KPI tracking, and timely updates to project stakeholders.

Support the preparation of periodic financial and project performance reports, including clear presentation of progress, risks, and key findings.

Monitor project expenditure, perform cost analysis, and provide reliable forecasts to assist project teams and management in decision‐making.

Take part in annual and periodic budgeting activities, reviewing actual results against projections and addressing variances with proposed solutions.

Assist in audit‑related matters by coordinating with external auditors and preparing required documentation.

Evaluate project financials such as WIP status, billing progress, cashflow positions, and collection activities, offering insights where needed.

Recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project reporting and financial management processes.

Participate in project review meetings by presenting updated financial data and highlighting cost movements or issues.

Ensure timely and accurate verification of project‑related invoices, claims, and payment documentation.

Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Diploma in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
  • At least 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably from the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with project accounting and costing principles.
