Job description

Seeking an experienced Marketing Communications & Outreach professional to support its communications, events, and stakeholder engagement activities. This is a temporary appointment with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role, subject to performance and organisational requirements.

The role focuses on managing company's communications platforms, publications, scientific events, and outreach initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with researchers, the Programme Office, and external stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication of company's research activities and stakeholder engagement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing communications
    • Build and maintain company's external facing website and internal site.
    • Build and maintain company's presence through social media platforms such as LinkedIn.
    • Develop and update company's physical brochure, and other forms of physical publication such as a periodic company's research report.
    • Create and distribute the monthly newsletter for all company's staff and relevant management and manage company's WhatsApp announcement channel.
  • Event organizing
    • Plan and execute yearly symposium/workshop, and other scientific communication events.
    • Organize 1-2 hour company's seminars once or twice a month, depending on the external speakers.
    • Organize monthly journal club for company's internal research strategizing.
  • Outreach
    • Plan and execute outreach events on an ad hoc basis, e.g. company secondary school science competition, preparation, comms, and execution; organising / liaising for external outreach such as company's scientists’ participation in SSEF.
    • Coordinate external visiting events, e.g. CE lab visits, high-profile global scientific KOLs and government scientific advisors, cadence roughly once a month.
  • Others
    • Produce photography / videography, poster, banners on an ad hoc basis, e.g. when there is a press release where company's is involved.
    • Visualize slide decks and refine outgoing messages for major meetings, ad hoc and require fast turnaround, average 1 deck and message per month.
    • Contribute to other duties as part of the team in company's Programme Office.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in marketing communications, outreach, and event organization. Experience should not exceed 10 years.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing websites, publications, and scientific communications content.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with researchers, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent English written skills for marketing communications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
